본 프로젝트는 공공기관 지방이전 시책에 따라 경주로 이전하는 한국 수력원자력(주) 본사사옥 신촉공사로 도시와 동떨어져 지낼 직원의 여가 생활에 부족함이 없도록 직원 편의를 고려함 역시 중요한 전제 조건으로 하여 5개의 조닝으로 한국수력원자력의 이미지를 표현하였다. 첫째로, 에너지 공원 : 한국수력원자력의 상징, 둘째로, 수변공간 : 직원들의 휴식공간 셋째로, 화합의 공원 : 지역 커뮤니티와의 화합이다. 그리고 넷째로, 스포츠 공원 : 재충전의 공간 다섯째로, 라이프 몰 : 직원과 지역 주민들의 생활 인프라 구축을 상징한다. 또한, 기본 컨셉인 ‘청암’은 청정에너지 선도 기업을 상징하는 맑을 ‘청’과 변함없는 신뢰와 믿음을 상징하는 바위 ‘암’의 합성이다. 이는 석굴암과 동해를 지키는 대왕암의 역사적인 축선상에 자리하여 천년고도 경주의 역사성과 한국수력원자력의 기업이념과 가치를 함께한다.
Along with the Transferring of public institution policy, the project is a relocated project of Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power Corporation to Kyeongju. Considering and supporting leisure and convenient of employees who is away from city is an important prerequisite. Based on this, “KHNP Headquarters” is planned 5 main places for matching with image of KHNP as below; First, Energy park : Symbolized KHNP. Second, Waterfront : Resting area for employees. Third, Harmony park : Harmonized local communities. Fourth, sports park : Open space for recharging. Fifth, Life mall : Street mall with life infra. for employees and loacl residents. The main concept ‘Chung-Am’ is a compound word of ‘Chung’ which means a clean energy leader and ‘Am’ Which means trust and faith. This concept also symbolizes history of Kyeongju the millennium capital and corporate philosophy ＆ value of KHNP on the axis of Seokguram Grotto and Rayal Tomb of King Munmu the keeper of East Sea.
